A few more items from this month:
• Brad came to town for a visit and Jeremy and I met him for lunch downtown. In classic Brad fashion, he was able to motivate all of us to stick around for one more “halfer” beer before heading home. It was good to get a chance to see him.
• Speaking of Jeremy, we enjoyed a dinner over at their place later in the month where we got a chance to see their new house and hang out with his family. The Watkins were also in attendance which allowed for Deb to play a game with their kids, where she tells them there is a baby inside her belly and then the girls try to lift Deb's shirt to see the baby. Seeing their reaction is pretty funny.
• Every January I continue to play in the CLIG. What is the CLIG? It is the “Can’t Let it Go League.” This is a phrase that was termed by Jeremy who made fun of how serious I take an alumni basketball league at my high school. I can’t say it is a bad description, but it has caught on and some people in the league use it and some wives complain about it when they get together. You can tell when it gets near, cause if I am at the gym/church/grocery/anywhere you can bet there is a good chance I may strike up a conversation with someone about the league. You would think our team was good, but we usually go 2-6 or even worse. It is good to see all my high school friends this time of year.
• As I write this, we are in the middle of a pretty big ice storm here in Indianapolis. It was bad enough to cancel work today and I am going to bet I won’t be heading to the office tomorrow. Deb has already been told her office is closed tomorrow, for the first time in 10 years!
